Children of God verse in the Bible!

John 1:12-13
12Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

This makes me think of one of my favorite bands ~  Third Day ~ and this song...

AND...

No Longer Slaves

"I'm no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I'm no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God"

AND....

I am a child of the one true King....

Hello My Name Is ~ Lyrics ~ Click Here

Hello, my name is child of the one true King
I’ve been saved, I’ve been changed, I have been set free
"Amazing Grace" is the song I sing
Hello, my name is child of the one true King

Cherished Child of God
                                 by Karrlin Bain

Inside us lives laughter, joy, sadness and tears
A thousand clear memories from throughout the years
There is daughter and sister wife mother and friend
There's warrior battling trouble through to bitter end
There's goodness and kindness and badness and sin
There's a humble wise woman humanitarian blend
There's little girl, princess, a quaint mother hen
There's teacher, nurse, poet, artist, writer and then
You will find most important
Unique, beautiful, flawed
Your true treasured role
Cherished child of God

My Rhyming Happy Poetry is 100% Unique ~ Posting Poetry, Plagiarism, and Plenty More

Definition of POET

1
: one who writes poetry : a maker of verses
2
: one (as a creative artist) of great imaginative and expressive capabilities and special sensitivity to the medium
As I am a poet that publishes poems on the internet for fun, I often reflect on why I am blogging and sharing some poetry.  I often wonder if I should be submitting my poems somewhere, putting them all in a book for myself to publish someday, saving them for my kids to toss unread into the trash after I am gone... etc. etc.  I also want to make sure that my work is kept safe from those that might claim it as their own.

My thoughts are that I will share my poems here on my blog, and if more happens with them that is GREAT!  If someone just enjoys them that is nice too.  If no one reads my posts... I am at least having fun with my online blog and it seems to be keeping me out of trouble (or at least out of the mall) for the most part!  Also... my blog has a healthy appetite so I keep creating more (as inspiration strikes) to feed it!  If I did not have the blog I don't think I would be so excited to create.  So... it is a win/win/win...
If you have any suggestions for me I would love to hear them.

I see my blog as a journal of sorts.  I love that I am certain to be positive because I have made it a rule for my blog that it has to be nearly 100% SUPER-cheesy positive.  I enjoy going back to my old poems/posts and improving (repairing grammar!) them, adding pictures, changing font and sizing, etc.  On the chance that one of my poems is good enough that someone may want to steal it, I am going to research how to watch for plagiarism.  I also have one or two good article links about writing and poetry that I once found... and I am going to try to find them (good luck to me) and source them here as well. I don't know if YOU need to know why I do what I do or if I should do it... but for some reason I must contemplate and research... so here goes.

10 Things I Need For Creativity
by Karrlin Bain

Assignments make me create works
I'm certain couldn't arrive
Assignments squeeze creative quirks
And bring new gifts alive

Chocolate makes me smile inside
It is a magic key
To stir up my creative life
Give chocolate to me

Sun~Light~Bulbs and Window Beams
A True Necessity
For Lighting up my happy mood
And Creativity

Pretty Brushes Paints and Such
Inspire right away
Purple pens and table space
Make my creative day

Coffee has to be involved
From beginning to the end
So if you want me to create
Mocha coffee send

Time has to be my greatest need
Because enough there never is
So that is why someday
I'll run Full time creative Biz

Music or a Background Flick
Is necessary sound
And as I collect all of my faves
I've got the best around

Coffee and Time are so in need
I'll mention them again
For if they don't exist for me
Creating???... who knows when...

My family needs to back me up
Understand about my art
Without their kind loving support
I could never even start

My online friends are now a must
With them my true life thoughts I trust
The world has shrunk and become kind
As online creative friends I find

It Doesn't Get Better than Emerson ~ Qotes to Inspire ~ A Flying Sisters Blog Hop

I am so happy that I get to take part in the Flying Sisters Blog Hop on the third Thursday of every month!  At the end of this post you will be given the link to another wonderful blog post by another creative friend of mine, then at the end of hers will be another link, then at the end of hers.... and so on... until you get all the way back to my blog!  We all blog on the same topic...  It is a Blog Circle.

This months topic is: "My Favorite Quote"

As I move through my days I often find myself longing for the sound of language from the past... a bit archaic sounding, romantic, wordy and wise.

My favorite place to turn for some good wisdom is to....

Ralph Waldo Emerson
(Clicky Link ~ Click his name and it brings you to site about Ralph!!)

Who has given me my faves:

“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in, forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day, you shall begin it well and serenely...”

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

There are so many more... search for
Emerson and find your own favorites!

Time by Karrlin Bain

Enjoying my kiddos during this week off of school and work ~ Spring Break.
Remembering to "be present" in the present... which makes me want to slow everything down and just stay in this blessed time...

Time by Karrlin Bain

Time
They are 12 and 14
And I'm
Loving them now
And they
Are perfect as is
And I
Know their future is His
And they're
The best gift I've been given
And I
Am so thankful for them

Blooming Creativity by Karrlin Bain ~ A Flying Sisters Blog Hop

I am so happy that I get to take part in the Flying Sisters Blog Hop on the third Thursday of every month!  At the end of this post you will be given the link to another wonderful blog post by another creative friend of mine, then at the end of hers will be another link, then at the end of hers.... and so on... until you get all the way back to my blog!  We all blog on the same topic...  It is a Blog Circle.

This months topic is: "How to...."

~ I choose... "Inspiring Creativity"
as my "How to..." this month.

My favorite way to do this is with my new poem titled Blooming Creativity that I wrote just for this... followed by a list ~ 11 Ways to Inspire Creativity:

~ Blooming Creativity ~
by Karrlin Bain

Ideas spring from seeds
Giving life enhancing leads
Future taking root
Brings creativity's fine fruit

Enlightening your days
In bright blossoming filled ways
Lovely purples, crisp teal blues
Mystical marvelous magical hues
Sparkles twinkle glow and shine
Fresh ideas grow divine

Nurture time with loving friends
Springtime breezes filled with fun
Blessings found will have no end
Take blissful time to soak up sun
11 Ways to Inspire Creativity
  1. Start your own blog about something you wish to share or investigate.  Surf Pinterest!
  2. Write a lot... always have a journal or paper for making lists, doodling, and for any kind of journal writing (thoughts, ideas, hopes, gripes, etc.......).
  3. Play your favorite music in the background at home and in the car.
  4. Join in on challenges (found on the internet) that focus in on your creative areas or activities that you want to learn such as writing, drawing, painting, etc.  You will surprise yourself!!!
  5. Throw perfectionism out the window! (Thank you Chrissy and Uncle Jim for that one!)
  6. Try NEW things!
  7. Take classes that you find in your community and/or online!
  8. Find your tribe!  (Awesome people with similar interests)
  9. Take time to REST.
  10. Dream BIG!
  11. Love a lot, and find ways to serve others.

A long while
To all thoughts
Words
And Hugs

For music
Friends
And Hugs

Make ends meet
Providing home
And Hugs

Love is praying

Over them
Lord keep them safe
And Hugs

Love is getting

What they're about
Learning new
And Hugs

Love is letting

Go of self
Lift them
Instead
